This CHAZ/CHOP crap has gone on way too long enough now. This Lafayette Park crap has gone on too long. Minneapolis, Atlanta, Seattle, DC, etc.

I like Trump. I like Barr. But enough with tough talk in interviews while doing nothing on the ground. Send in the troops and end this shite. These mayors/governors are unwilling or unable to do it. The buck stops with the federal government.

George Washington would have led them into action himself if he were alive.

It's all talk, no action. People have a right to life, liberty, and property and good people have had that yanked from them by anarchists and communists.

If I’m Trump, I’d continually let the Democrat mayors and governors keep doing what they are doing. Sure, it looks like Trump isn’t imposing law and order, but when Sept/Oct rolls around I’d remind the public what those mayors/governors allowed without requesting federal aid. Complete lawlessness.

Why stop the enemy from destroying itself?

It sounds good, but the federal government has an affirmative duty to intervene. The buck stops with them. Just saying you'll let it go on to embarrass local officials is an abandonment of obligations.

I'd like to see him completely clear them out of DC while staying hands off elsewhere.

He has the authority to do so in DC without help being requested.

I agree, instead of tweeting about law and order just point out news stories about how horrible these riots are, and how the mayors and governors don't seem to care.

The Governors and Mayors have ultimate authority over these cities, they're the ones that need to act.

He doesn't need permission for the Insurrection Act either to send to the states. You think Lincoln waited for Confederate governors to consent to Union troops being sent?

Absolutely. Trump would seal his re-election is he would fricking do something. Tweeting about this stuff is ridiculous and makes him looks weak

Like it or not, politics is in play here.

I know he can via the Insurrection Act. Do you want another 4 years or not?

He sends the Army out cracking skulls across the country he isn't getting another 4 years.

And that plays right into the lefts’ hands. They have been trying to label him as a dictator and have it stick. With that action they would spin it so hard that more people would think it’s true. The majority of Americans aren’t familiar with the laws on the books. They’d just see a quelling of riots as nothing more than a push towards a totalitarian state.

He has to wait for the right moment. Once something really terrible happens because of these protests, then he will have the green light. Unfortunately, millions of dollars of destruction is not enough. It has to be something that 90% of Americans agree is a tragedy

The Dems are baiting him into another Kent State. They so want to hang the killing of American citizens on his back if the guard kills people taking these areas back. It’s their wet dream

Risky tactic. You are counting on people to reward to person who said they could and would stop it, but chose not to to prove a point?

People will attribute Trump with not doing anything.

What if they think the protests will end if Biden is elected?

There is a solution to this problem: Don't vote for a democrat, not one.
This is not Trump's fault. The governor needs to request federal help. It is their fault, not Trump.
Blame the right people.

Is it Trump's fault that there were 104 shootings n Chicago over Father's Day weekend? No. The mayor and governor have a job to do, and they are not doing it. Do not vote for one democrat.
Where are the protestors protesting the 3 or 5 year old black kid that got shot by a black person in Chicago?
Not one hypocrite in the NFL, NBA, MLB or BLM took one step to protest this atrocity. Why doesn't that kids life matter? I will not watch one game played by a bunch of hypocrites.

I disagree. Trump should keep offering support publicly. When the Governors deny it, lay the denial at their feet just as publicly.

Agreed, however Trump has said “if they don’t fix it, he will”. He has made a promise he is not backing up. He is doing the same amount the Democrats are.
