We need term limits to rid ourselves of scum like Lesley Graham, McConnell, Ryan , McCain, Collins and that old ugly woman from Alaska. It would rid ourselves of those disgusting leftists like Schumer, Pelosi, etc. Apparently the voters in their states are too stupid to get rid of them. D.C. is corrupt to the core. Time to clean it up or burn it down. We need a revolution.

The people that voted them in (repeatedly) weren't forced to do so

That is the reason that I said that they are too stupid to get rid of them.

Yep!

I've been saying this for years. We need to hold a Constitutional Convention and force some new amendments down their throat.

A balanced budget amendment is needed as well.

Ban corporations from being given first amendment rights.

Term limits for Congress and the Senate as well as Federal Judges, including Supremes.

Make entitlements Pay Go.

Point is, the lobbyists and special interest will just find another McCain put them there.. or better yet find some up-and-comer that the people think will "really change things this time", and get them to bend the knee

Wrong. Stupid/ ignorant people vote. Term limits would stop those people from continually sending the same corrupt bastards back to office. It's time.

Congressional Term limits was #1 on Trumps 100day plan

He is as much to blame for not constantly pushing it. It's one of the major reasons I voted for him. Cruz already put together a bill. Trump needs to sell the American people on it

Why do we expect the same population that is responsible for the fame of the Kardashians, "Cash Me Outsside Girl" and Beiber to be able to elect brilliant leadership?

I found it a bit suspicious when Paul Ryan was behind in the polls...yeah, I know. People were out protesting in front of his house with the new wall (that don't work ). He has to high tail it back up to WI and immediately pulls out a win. That clown has done nothing in congress, except talk a bunch of BS. Please WI...vote this fig out. He is the poster chump for cheese...it oozes out of him everytime he opens his mouth.

Well if they can't at least the ones that are sent wouldn't be there for 30-40 years. Term limits along with totally revamping the system with things like lobbyist reform, etc. etc. would make things up there better.

It's time for term limits

The anti term limit argument has always been..."but you lose experience and really good legislators."

Well I don't see that as a road block any more.
Will it save the republic?
I don't know but we as the people should demand we give it a try

Should be limited to three terms for Senate (18 years) and six terms for the house (12 years).

I would say 2 terms for the Senate and maybe 4 for the House.

No, what we need is a straight repeal of the 17th Amendment to balance Congress once again.

I understand what you're saying about voting equals term limits however only 50% of Americans engage in the process there's so much apathy and division... we just can't keep re-electing the same people and expect change
