But they'll probably neglect to discuss that Italy absolutely does need constitutional reform
There was a pretty good 60 minutes piece on Renzi and the election a week or 2 ago. They definitely need some reform, and part of his plan seemed reasonable, like reducing the number of senators, but where he lost me was that he wanted them to be appointed by the PM not elected by the people.

For clarity, this was just some portion, right? That's what I recall. I take no position on whether the reform package was good or bad, but I agree, I think some of them probably would have helped.

You're a clown.

IIRC - he wanted to have the PM appoint the senate (curfew over 300 people).

I'm on 400 mg of Modafinil, I'm pretty sure I see the future

Limitless. There is a TV show about the fictional NZT drug now as well.
400 mg is a fairly large dose. Typically I'll take 200 if I'm feeling sleepy in the morning, but I only had 2 hours of sleep last night.
600 is probably way past diminishing returns, but 400 doesn't give me any more negatives than 200 (occasional headache)

I'll try SD. The folk over there are hooked on their quasi-socialist programs; Programs which they no longer can afford at the expense of the EU (I.e., Germany). Those extraordinary Presidential powers are being accorded to the Leadership in order to attempt to fix the budget mess, and get further support from EU/Germany.
The street will raise hell; and given all the Immigration, doubtful there is a fix. Europe is in deep, and with Ergogan/Turkey threatening to loosen the Immigration floodgates if EU don't pony up the money promised Turkey...well.... .

Is this another win for the anti-establishment? The group that wins out of this is the Five Star Movement, I think. That group wants to leave the Euro but not the EU(I think). Renzi rose to prominence on the promise that he would reform and streamline Italian government. I think that streamlining and centralization was the primary reason this referendum failed. It did too much too quickly, I think. But this type of reform is exactly what Renzi ran on.

Not likely on this board.
There will be some celebration from the Trump crowd
For somebody that was SO WRONG about Trump and his supporters, it would seem like you would just shut your mouth and move on
But you just want to keep bringing posters back to the realization that your opinion aint worth shite. On pretty much every topic
Youre just a foolish blowhard

Yes

That's the thing, though. The constitutional reforms may be needed, but the globalist PM tied his fate to the outcome of the vote, and so it became a vote against him more than it was a vote against the reforms.

Leaving the eurozone but staying in the European Union could very well be a feasible plan for many of the Southern European economies. All the common currency has done is make the already dominant Northern European countries even more competitive, particularly regarding tourism, the dominant industry of many of the Southern European countries.

The globalists, liberal elites, and the Hillary Clinton types lose again.
