If his agenda is nullified then the republicans are in trouble. What are they going to run on? We are for tax reform, obamacare repeal, american jobs and small government but only if our hand picked guy is president.

For better or worse depending on what you think of his campaign agenda, his opposition has actually been effective in stopping him from advancing much of that agenda. Whether it's the special counsel or the "literally Hitler" media hysterics, the Resist movement has kept him on the defensive and caused people he needs in Washington to get things done to distance themselves.
