It cant be said often enough. After the fall of the USSR, the Military Industrial Complex started casting about for another boogey man. The Project for a New American century started beating the war drums to invade Iraq. They finally worked that bolt around and voila! A war on TERROR! A perpetual war, one that could never be won! It was perfect!! Clinton was all set to go to war with Russia and commit a large US ground force to Syria. Her losing was a big set back for the war mongers, but they will work around it.

At some point between 1994 when Cheney said that invading Iraq would be a quagmire and that "parts might fly off" so we shouldn't do it, and 2003, someone decided, "Hey, that is exactly what we want!"

War that can't be won. Nailed it. We created these terrorists.

I find it odd that so many here criticize the media for being biased but at the same time swallow all the media narratives whole without questioning, especially said narratives about foreign issues like ISIS and the war on terror

Have you read, "Confessions of an Economic Hitman"?

It explains how we try to create regime change through bribery and if that doesn't work, we resort to force.

This, IMO, is what happened in the Middle East. We tried regime change through "negotiations" but when that ultimately failed, force was necessary.

9/11 sure was convenient in getting the American people behind the necessary force in that region.

Too many people would be needed to pull that conspiracy off. You know that, TXTiger.
