It is entirey possible for them to assimiliate, given that they aren't allowed to settle en masse and in enclaves.

Because a large part of our population actually hates America. They have never been anywhere but here, but they will tell you it is one of the worst countries in the world. Some muslims do assimilate and pick up American values, some do not.

Meanwhile, the Democrats socialist ideal country of Denmark has mandated that all public schools must serve pork for every meal.

Again, I think this has to do with their proximity to other immigrant groups or families, much like Hispanics. They are much more likely to become 'American' if they are the only non-Americans around town. I don't know how you plan for that, though.
