Great writing from “US Newz.”

And no, this isn’t what’ll get him. If true, however, it’s further confirmation (as if any were needed) that he’s a giant douche.

Great thread as always.

did not send any best wishes to the birthday girl by social media.

My father doesn't wish me happy birthday via social media either.

They don't think that POTUS has staff reminding him of important birthdays?

She obviously didn't want anything on social media since she hangs in liberal circles

My parents weren't douches and they never wished me happy birthday. They couldn't remember what date it was on. I couldn't drop any hints because I always forgot about it till a month or two later.

So he would need to send her wishes via social media and not in private to make you feel better?

Hand written note or a card at least. A phone call.

That's how it should be done.

Social media virtue signaling is beyond sad.

No, just a rotten father.

But we already knew this.

I thought you were rational. It appears that I was incorrect.

Walk me through the logic of not getting on social media to tell a loved one Happy Birthday is confirmation that someone is a douche.

That’s tough. We make an occasion of birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries in my family. Maybe too much. Even as we tone it down amongst ourselves to focus on the kids, we all always remember to at least send cards and a call.

Forgot my b-day in 2009 and 2013. I was deployed both times. My senior chief reminded my in ‘09. Just went by in ‘13, though I did get a care package from my parents a week or so later. They forgot to send my favorite gloves. I needed those gloves.

It says “it looks like” he didn’t, doesn’t mention a source or anything. Lies.

Don’t do that. No one cares.

Well first, he’d be a douche, regardless, for a mountain of reasons. Let’s get that out of the way.

Second, I only read the lede and the first paragraph, which stated simply that he didn’t wish her a happy birthday at all. It didn’t stipulate that he didn’t send well-wishes via social media. I suppose that was later in the well-written, honest, and important “US Newz” article.

I forgot it was my brother's birthday last week until my mom reminded me to text him.

Age is just a number and even more so the older you get.
