Is the TruCon response to every spending item going to be this way?

Is it only good to "cut spending" when it's a vague platitude?

Jesus people, it's like some of you (not all) never put any thought to what it actually looks like when you have a president who questions every dollar spent. EVERY program or dollar has some "good reason" why it is being spent. The problem is that we only have so much money. Priorities must be set, and some things that seem important are going to get cut.

Please tell me some of you aren't going to clutch your pearls every time an important program or dollar is cut. Have some principle.

TruCons tend to side with NeoCons on a lot of issues. Israel first.

It's not about principle, it's about having things to whine about.

Jonah Goldberg seemed upset this morning that TRUMP was going to save money by reexamining the Air Force One program. Jonah is a cuck's cuck, smh.

These cocksuckers have been bitching for years to cut spending, now when it actually looks like it will happen, they lose their balls.

Unbelievable. Spending has to be cut. And I'm not talking about flyshit Air Force Boeing contracts, I'm talking about real, sometimes painful cuts.

We also need to build the tax base.

Insinuating that we can't do both simultaneously is a loser's mentality, period.

That's all I care about. I'm tired of waste. I don't get to do it at home, because I'm busy paying fricking taxes. They shouldn't get to blow the money I send them.

Goldberg is a poster child for the typical neocon. I can't think of anyone who fits the bill of neocon more than Jonah Goldberg. Textbook definition. He checks off all the boxes. Interventionist War Monger? Yes. Israel firster? Yes. Dual Israeli-American citizen? Yes. NeverTrumper? Yes. Bush lackey? Yes. Amnesty lover? Yes

Saw someone abbreviate it here. "True Conservatives" were people, generally Cruz supporters, who like to climb up on the soapbox to huff and puff about conservative principles and why we need ideological purity.

See also: Cruzlims, Evangelicals, Glenn Beck.

Pertinent sidenote: Listening to Beck comment on the Carrier deal; said that the "company investment" of the which Trump trumpets...will go toward..."automation". Well. All that glitters ain't gold.

Though this Board hates/derided Beck...he is still on the cutting edge of socio-political thought/analysis. He is right about the coming unemployment scenario as it relates to high tech advancement. And ultimately, Government becoming arbiter of essential goods and services.

Gonna be interesting.

People like the idea of cuts but they never want "their" program to be cut.

It's why I oppose any new growth in Govt. Every time you make a program or agency you open a new section of Pandora box that's extremely hard to close

We have more 'con' flavors than Baskin Robbins.
