Is the NYT crossword puzzle racist?

THIS reporter thinks so.

Its been a while, but I used to regularly do the puzzle and never noticed any particular cultural biases or overt racism.

Any crossworders here?

I'm just gonna guess there are more hints about operas and historical figures and fewer about basketball and rappers.

So yes, it's clearly very racist.
