I keep on hearing about how a war with North Korea would be devastating, see a bunch of video games made with North Korean on American soil. Heck even that movie Red Dawn had North Koreans as the guys who took down America not to mention Olympus has fallen.

Maybe it's me believing our own propaganda but couldn't the U.S just raze North Korea to the ground if we got into a fight with them now? Or will they be able to hack through our defenses and turn our smart bombs away from us?

I understand how it was difficult for us to win against them in the 1950's but now a days? The best part is unlike Iraq we don't even have to be walking on eggshells, just go in smashed the country and then let South Korea deal with the processing of the rest of North Korea.

This is partially due to people complaining about the protagonists in these movies/games being Middle eastern. True story. There was an army game that came out awhile back that had the taliban as the main enemies. There was a huge backlash and they changed it to some generic terrorist organization name.

Also due to NK being one of the only state sponsored "enemies" we have.

quote:

2010’s Medal of Honor was not so lucky. Medal of Honor also let players choose a terrorist faction in the game’s multiplayer mode, but Medal of Honor went so far as to specifically identify the game’s terrorists as members of the Taliban. Many people – especially military families and military members – felt it was incredibly insensitive to allow gamers to achieve victory as a specific terrorist group who many military units were currently at war with. Eventually, Medal of Honor’s developers changed the game so that the former Taliban were now simply referred to as an “opposing force.”

NK is one of four countries that could kill our power grid at the push of a button.

Iran
Russia
China

Are the other three.

The fly in the buttermilk is the harm they could do to civilians in South Korea before we had effect on target.

That's bullshite. NK can't even keep their own power grid running correctly.

The only thing NK can do is kill millions in SK. The only thing that keeps us from destroying NK is protecting SK.

Yea, that'll work out greaaaat.

We could easily handle NK but not without mass casualties to SK. They have nothing to lose which makes for a deadly opponent.

They do have a legit SF group or whatever and they probably should be respected in regards to cyber attacks.

They aren't the aggressors any more?

They have the 4th largest army, in terms of troops, in the world. Technologically I would guess that they are pretty far behind.

If was originally filmed as Chinese, but the producers gave in when the ChiComs bitched about it and changed it to NoKs.

Name? Rank? Come on. You can't make such an outlandish claim then say you heard it through the grapevine.

I have a better chance of winning the lottery while getting my leg bit off by a shark than the norks taking down our power grid.

I think the trickiest part is preventing Seoul from being bombarded as soon as shots are fired.

Bruh, if it's a lie he told it. It may be but he was damn sure convinced of it and did a hell of a job convincing the couple hundred that were listening as well.

Yeah, but the 1950s were different times. Now that we have reverse-engineered the secret recipe for Kim-shee,we can just nuke them.

WTF are you smoking. Russia is the only country that is a threat to mainland USA.

China would be a distant 2nd. Could hurt US Pacific interests, but would be wiped out before damage to mainland USA.
