No, I don’t need to. It’s the same illogical argument that people use when trying to suggest that natural disasters or catastrophic events are God’s wrath. Name a nation/civilization that has ever existed that was truly obedient to God’s teachings then we can can discuss the wrath of God in today’s World. The sins of the US and they are many, are no better or worse than any civilization in history. One could argue they pale in comparison to Rome or the British Empire

Strange, remind me when Hamas went door to door executing Jews in the US? Oh that didn’t happen? But these terrorists do tend to go after places where people don’t have guns, like a night club, or a concert, or an airplane, or at their office building, or at a school.

God isn’t punishing America. Bad things aren’t happening because of raining fire and brimstone, droughts, locusts, floods, or any of those natural phenomena that God tends to act through. America is struggling due to economic and environmental mismanagement. These acts of incompetence or blatant malfeasance are causing inflation, worsening forest fires, and causing routine droughts to produce widespread water shortages.
The problem is an incompetent government led by people with a fanatical agenda that is bad for the citizenry, not a vengeful God.

Complete nonsense, being content in whatever situation you find yourself because the ultimate reward is not of this World is far from tolerating it lol You probably have read a few pages of it somewhere but that’s about it. Help me understand where “loving your neighbor as yourself and God” allows for the subjugation and exploitation of another human being? I will hang up and listen

We keep typing, speaking and acting as if the GOPe isn't exactly as complicit in the downfall of the USA as the Democrats are. They're one and the same- the Establishment Uniparty. The DNC is the "action" wing, and the GOPe is the "controlled opposition" wing.
We are certainly being punished, but GOD's punishment will come much later. Right now it's just a very predictable reciprocity for what we have all slowly allowed our nation to become since the end of WWII.
We need to stop pretending that one "side" is any better than the other, when ultimately all of government has failed us, Congress in particular. Their primary job is to pass a balanced budget into law each year, and they have completed failed to even attempt to do so for the past 27 years... instead ramming through temporary patches and omnibus bills that allow funds to be allocated to many things directly prohibited by the US Constitution.
It's one of two things that has happened:
A). We have continuously elected ineffectual idiots to perform a job they don't do for nearly three decades concurrently without pause, or
B). We never actually elected anyone, but they were merely installed by a rigged system that we failed to detect as a whole.
So, where does the blame lie? And what can be done to reverse the current situation? We outnumber the crooked leadership something like 25,000 to 1, and yet we do nothing. We are a sedentary and spoiled populace who got so busy being self absorbed and greedy that we let our individual rights and liberties be stolen.
From whatever source this "punishment" is coming from, we created it.

I don’t think He is punishing us. We are reaping what we’ve sewn. We’ve kicked him out and it shows. It’s really too bad believers are such pansies and don’t fight like the progressives. That’s why we will lose this country to evil and vile.

The United States of America has long since turned its back on God. God will call his people back to Him for a time. But if we continue to turn our backs on Hom, eventually He will let us go our own way. That’s when things go really bad. So, in a sense, you could say God is punishing us. But He’s doing it by leaving us to our own wicked devices.
Israelites for the Old Testament did this over and over. Gods would bless them, things would be good, they’d start worshipping idols and other ungodly stuff, God would try to get them to turn back to Him, but they’d keep going until eventually disaster struck.
