Is Congress a "respected" institution anymore?

Honestly, I used to consider it a revered institution, and a special honor for those who served there. Frankly, I have no respect for what we have now, and consider many to be ignorant and most completely dishonest. I hate that I feel that way...but that is how I currently feel. Thoughts?

No, they are there to enrich themselves. Pass Bills to fund overseas aid, that ends up right back in there pockets, while knowing what’s going to get funded, and buying stock in those companies before the sale. Just straight up crooks.....
