Irrational call for social change

The very root of the kneeling protest is unreasonable and irrational. This is what is frustrating for so many people. Not only are we expected to be fine with players expressing their political views by disrespecting the anthem and the flag, but we are also expected to accept the asinine assertion that blacks are being persecuted and oppressed.
One could reasonably look at at the fight for civil rights in the 60s and say "yes this is a noble cause." This is simply not the case in today's times. Blacks are less than 15% of the population, yet at least 40-50%(my estimation, no I dont have a source) represented in media today.
People are fed up with this false notion that blacks are being oppressed, especially when real life tells us blacks ruin schools, ruin neighborhoods, and ruin communities...not because they look different but because they bring with them crime, violence, drugs, and general trashy behavior.
The fans of the NFL are overwhelmingly middle class whites, supporting teams that are 75+% black, yet those players routinely spit figuratively(and now literally)on the fans.
Black people need to change, not whites. Sorry to our resident progressives for the truth bomb. Hope you can unwad your panties.

Why are we supposed to support this is because you and I have done so much to hold their entire culture back and it all our fault. Everything is our fault. We bought and sold slaves. We made segregation happen. We passed laws that basically made it more lucrative if you had multiple kids with multiple partners. Plenty of white people need to change. Anyway, not sure about how you're making this argument, but I do think you hit on something of note:
White people are frustrated not because they don't believe in racism or that our country has a history of systematically disenfranchising black people. White people are frustrated because that is all they hear (whites are doing terrible things to blacks), while their personal experience is quite the opposite.
I fully believe black people experience shite white people don't. But we hear about it, constantly, and it's laid at the feet of white people everywhere in media and politics.
Meanwhile, the fact that one can correctly guess the race, general age and sex of a person breaking into cars or committing burglaries or homicides in Atlanta with about 99.5% accuracy creates a huge discordance for well-meaning, genuine people. My goal is not to tell black Americans their concerns are fake or stupid. But if you're a guy who is a little concerned about getting his door kicked in, or someone putting a gun in your wife's face in a parking lot, it's just not going to resonate that him (average white guy) that he is the real problem in our society.

I personally think there are tons of blacks in the NFL (players) that are disgusted with their brothers doing what they are doing.
The bulk of teams have a good majority of their black players doing what everyone else is doing - standing and honoring the flag.
