According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, the unnamed police officer hugged the suicide bomber before he could enter the mosque in the Al-Musayeb; this would obstruct the terrorist’s path.

The Ministry of Defense added that the police officer was killed after the suicide bomber detonated his belt – no other casualties were reported.

This is the kind of brave action normally only seen in military operations = jumping on a grenade = calling in artillery strikes on your own position, etc.

But it is really rare in normal police operations. Words cannot express the degree of admiration and respect due to someone who willingly gives his life to save others.

unbelievable = highest honors

This is the only way middle eastern countries will save themselves from jihadist/terrorist. They have to fight them themselves. They cannot rely on foreign nations to to the work for them.
