the same policies worked wonders at driving all manufacturing out of the US
It wasn’t government uncertainty, hostility toward investment and punitive taxation that forced manufacturing offshore; it was simply cheaper labor, and cheaper compliance overseas.

Murphy’s Kings Quay started producing last week
Beacon’s Shenendoah is in design.
LLOG’s Salamanca is in design
Shell’s Vito was installed in the last couple of years
Shell’s Whale is under construction
Chevron’s Anchor is going to be commissioned soon
Confidential planning is taking place for Total’s North Platte, which they are selling. That project will kick off design soon.
These probably represent half a million barrels per day.
All of these are in the US Gulf of Mexico. It’s cool by me if Biden gets criticized for this, but there is no foundation to it.

It’s not like oil companies can just turn the spicket on or off. When oil fell below $40 a barrel, companies started closing wells. It takes time and alot of effort to reopen one. A big problem right now is labor. Not every Joe off the street can work a rig and the labor market is already tight, so you have to pay more. Now you have to convince investors that the price spike isn’t a blip and increased cost of labor, diesel fuel to run the rigs, increased transport costs of oil, etc. isn’t going to eat all potential profits. The banks and Wall Street so far aren’t buying it. Right now, it is what it is and Biden really doesn’t have much control over it.

Trump tried to have this money reallocated back to federal lands. I hope somehow this happens so money is put into National Forest, Parks, Monuments, and Wildlife Reserves.

horseshite.
This government being "of the people" died a long time ago and you are either naive or mendacious saying otherwise.
