I know Obama sent his old white man bitch out to advocate for “muh environment”, but what’s the real reason?

A. Hurt America
B. An olive branch to Iran
C. Shake down of oil companies(keeping any upstarts down)
D. Some other anti-American reason
?

The Interior Department will finalize regulations Friday to block 13 million acres of public land from oil and gas drilling in the National Petroleum Reserve – Alaska.

“These natural wonders demand our protection," President Joe Biden said in the announcement. "I am proud that my administration is taking action ... in the Western Arctic and to honor the culture, history, and enduring wisdom of Alaska Natives who have lived on and stewarded these lands since time immemorial.”

Native groups, however, have criticized the administration for pursuing its anti-fossil fuel agenda, even when it conflicts with the interests of Native Alaskan communities.

Prior to the official announcement, the Voice of the Artric Iñupiat, which represents more than a dozen Native communities on Alaska’s North Slope, strongly disagreed with the decision.

Even if it is reversed by another administration, the damage is done and oil and gas exploration is already moving somewhere else...

Just like when Obama signed the moratorium on drilling in the Gulf... Those rigs moved on...

None of this stuff turns on a dime and their goal is to do as much damage to the U.S. as possible before the Turnip potentially leaves office...

these remote areas are about as far away from human ecology as possible. if you can't drill there, then where?

It's far away from all ecology. Environmentalists falsely show pictures of grass and animals in northern Alaska that would be disturbed. That's not where the drilling occurs. It occurs in abandoned frozen mud land where nothing is alive.
There is also no litter. When a crew moves in they must show inventory of all food and drink containers. When they move out they must show the empty containers for everything on the list.

This is more deep-state over-reach similar to the EPA issuing regulations without the legal authority to do so.
