Interesting Point Re: Johnnie Cochran and the OJ Trial's Race Theory

Johnnie admitted that focusing on fabricated racial undertones to the OJ Simpson case was the crux of their case. This is a blatant case of playing the race card.
I don't understand how there is zero ethical backlash from the American community when he admittedly fabricated race issues, as well as unethically changed pictures at OJ's home with pictures from his own house showing African American themes.
Despite overwhelming physical evidence, he manufactured a racial issue to distract the jury, and divide them between people who were voting with evidence in mind, versus people who thought they were sticking it to the white man as revenge for the L.A. riots/Rodney King.
Do you think he did more harm than good by injecting this into the AA community and likely blinding them to a very simple truth, that there is no way in hell OJ didn't murder those two people.
Or was he just being the best lawyer he can be? I have issue with his attacking the government's case on an issue that he entirely created himself. I honestly think he spouted that racial BS for so many years that he actually believed the LAPD went to the impossible lengths it would have taken to frame OJ Simpson.

Sounds like he was doing his job as a sleazy defense attorney

I think the judge was a quack for bringing the jury to OJ's house.
I think Cochran was doing his job, and I'd want him as my lawyer if I murdered someone. fricker pulled out all the stops.

Because it was 20 years ago. And because Johnny Cochran is dead.

He's a good lawyer. I blame the jury for falling for it.

That case demonstrated to me how deep was the dived between the races. At the time I owned a photography studio in LaPorte, TX and we all stopped working to watch the verdict. I had one black lady working for me who was the epitome of what we conservatives would think a black should aspire to be - family oriented, hard working, well spoken, nicely dressed, intelligent, etc.
When the verdict was announced, there were gasps of disbelief throughout the studio, and as I scanned the faces, I noted that she was silent - with a smile that she was obviously trying to hide.
At that moment I knew the issue of race was far far deeper and farther reaching than I had ever imagined. Before, I had imagined that it was limited to the poor ignorant blacks and the anti-American activists.

You watching OJ Made in America? What a masterpiece that thing is.

In every system there are generally errors of omission and errors of commission. OJ's case was most likely and error of omission. The prosecution did a bad job. They had physical evidence. The glove in question was soaked in blood and shrank which is why it did not fit when they had O.J. try it on in the courtroom. When the jury saw that, their case was blown. A tight fitting burglar type glove like that only has to shrink a small amount for it to no longer fit. They should have presented expert testimony reinforcing that obvious fact.

My point of view....
Johnny Cochran was not working to get OJ free.
but rather he was working to get back at the NYPD for their treatment of blacks/Rodney king.
this was his chance to counter back on a national stage. to arguably expose racism in the LAPD.
the mark furhman tapes just fell right into their laps.
it also made him an even bigger star throughout the country. extra motivation there.
JOhnny wanted to win no matter what, because fo the LAPD angle.
If Johnny truly thought OJ was innocent, he, or his firm, would have defended him in the civil case.

The OJ trial, IMO, was the birth of the modern day SJW/Prog movement where they realized any false narrative could be used to divide people, as long as they could bring race into it.
I see OJ like the first "hands up, don't shoot".

He didn't defend him in the civil case because OJ never paid his bills to his defense team from the criminal trial.

As far as the gloves "don't fit", besides the blood shrinkage and stiffness, OJ had on rubber surgical gloves. To add to the drama OJ spread his fingers outward and pulled from one side. No way do they fit after all that. It blew my mind that the procecution did not point all this out.

Did not know that. Thought that he paid them through signing autographs.
