Insurance doesn’t cover it? There goes the excuse for the “let the thugs rob you” brigade.

No, but they are highlighting them because they can read the writing on the wall.

Well they're using the words "new" for a reason.

Imagine that! So if you don’t have mortgage, why pay for a policy when they could deny coverage claiming undeclared war.

According to the woman in the video, she's going over Cigna and saying it is new. There's another woman in the replies highlighting her homeowners policy claiming it is new for her policy.

If it is undeclared, how is it considered a war? Does it have to rise to the level of a “police action”, as Vietnam was considered?

That sounds like an ACA/Obamacare directive.

I just pulled out my 2020 policy and it 100% contains a "War and Terrorism" exclusion.

Nothing is new about this.

It appears to have been originally adopted on August 10, 2001.

That certainly sounds like CIGNA. They like to be on the cutting edge of We don't cover that.
My employer dropped BCBS of NC as an option this year, only offered CIGNA.

Luckily my chiropractor offers a Shitty Insurance cash discount.

“War declared or undeclared”

Well that’s frighteningly vague.
Are we currently in an undeclared war?

Here you guys go

quote:

In many cases the risks of War and Terrorism, and to a certain extent Kidnapping and Ransom, were traditionally considered to be uninsurable, and many insurance companies are continuing to exclude these risks from coverage. However, as a leading global medical insurance broker specializing in understanding policy wording and conditions, Pacific Prime is now able to offer comprehensive global medical insurance policies which will provide cover no matter what happens.

Global medical insurance plans for High Risk areas which we can provide may offer coverage for:

Medical Care
Personal Accident Coverage
Emergency Evacuation
Kidnap and Ransom Coverage

One of the reasons Acts of War and Terrorism have been so difficult to insure is the wide scope of potentially violent acts encompassed by the terms. There is no easy way to judge the risk of a terrorist act, and the liability of such an act may be extremely large. As a consequence of this, our plans will include coverage for both war and terrorism, ensuring cover in either case.
