Actually, there is. Around 1960 they edited out about 50 references advising killing just about everyone. They thought it was too harsh. The modern Koran is a kinder, gentler text.

but Mohammed is an actual historical figure unlike Jesus, Moses, Abraham, etc. we should be able to pinpoint which of these allegations are true
