Please list them.

1. Cyber threats?
2. Invasion of eastern European countries?
3. Alignment with Iran and China?

This is an important question. TBH, I don't know what specific U.S. interest are and what Russian interest are and where they conflict.

Just look at the Balkans, that is Putin's next playground. He has restarted the flame of Serb nationalism in Bosnia and now Kosovo (See Serb train incident). The last two years, it seems, have been the worst for Balkan relations. Not to mention the reported coup attempt in Montenegro a few months ago that was staged by Russian intelligence. This region is where the next European war will start. I can see Bosnia's Serb population declaring independence within the next two or three years and we'll see what the West will do.

They are smart enough to hack the election without leaving any proof. They are smart enough to hack Trump's cabinet.

They didn't hack the election, they exposed what scum bags the DNC have become.

Russians people pose no threat to fine American country. Russians people only seek same sovereign status of state that USA have. Threat is propaganda.

I would agree however, the Russian leadership is another deal. Putin knows that globalism is bad for Russia because they essentially produce 2 commodities - military hardware and oil. To stay relevant on a global scale, Putin has to be a thorn in the side of the EU and USA. The Russian people are used to hardship and being subjugated to the power of the state. Besides, what can they do against a dictator who doesn't hesitate to whack his political enemies? Weakening NATO, the EU, and USA are good things for Putinstan.

1. They have a lot of nuclear weapons.
2. They are a disruptive force that is not generally aligned with US interests.
3. The nature of their disruption is particularly acute relative to NATO/Warsaw Pact/Helsinki Accord involvements.
4. They strive to be an economic competitor and power-player on the world stage.

Seems like pretty run-of-the-mill shite to me. Kinda blows my mind that some are running around like Chicken Little as if all of this is news. Hell, the US has been in a posture of open hostility with them for over 70 years.

And with all that enmity -which has always included beaucoup spy activity from both sides- the US government still has managed to be a relationship with them, albeit somewhat weaker under W (had is hands full) and Obama (Ben Rhodes will never be remembered as a Foreign Policy genius).

SIDE NOTE: How the US has never related to Russia as they always never have.

Weakening NATO I could see as a good thing for Putin but weakening the EU?
