Imagine this scenario re: Christine Blasey Ford

Instead of who she really is, she's a conservative who comes out of the woodwork after 35 years to accuse a Liberal SCOTUS nominee of a sexual assault. She has that same little girl voice. She's vague on the details. She makes the same wild accusation about a rape squad. No one, and I mean NO ONE can corroborate her story, not even her close friends. Hell, her own dad doesn't believe her. Also, there is nothing in the SCOTUS nominee's background remotely similar to what the accuser is alleging. And to top it off her lawyer says in a candid, unexpected moment of truth-telling that her client did what she did to put an asterisk next to any abortion vote the SCOTUS candidate might cast.
You and I both know that at this point Christine Blasey Ford would be a national laughing stock. Late night comedians would be ripping her to shreds. SNL would do weekly sketches with her as the butt of the humor. The media would only speak her name with derision. Instead, look what we have.
Can anyone explain this to me? I'm at a loss to understand how the Left has so completely hijacked national discourse, and why truth and facts no longer matter in America.

What I don't get is that she wrote this secret letter to Sen Feinstein and wanted to play the shy part. Then it became she wanted everyone to know that Justice Kavanaugh was a sexual predator. Now it's she just wanted to put an * next to his name for abortion purposes. And no one is calling her out on it.

Her story would’ve never seen the light of day if the politics were reversed. They will never allow a liberal SCOTUS nominee to be taken down. It would’ve made Brietbart and The Federalist, but never Network or Cable News

I think part of it, a big part, is what was said above - the media is mostly left wing.
I think the other part is that there is a portion of the left that absolutely lives to ruin someone. They are geared up for it.
Conservatives are just not of that mindset.
What dissapoints me is that I genuinely feel that any half assed investigative journalist that wanted to could take some time and really dissect her claims and rip her claims to shreds.
I have always thought that the 2 door claim was a particularly weak spot, as there has to be some people out there who could directly refute that bullshite. The contractor, a neighbor, the first tenant in the apt.
I guess part of the reason the story died is that Kav was confirmed. To me though, these people need to be taught a lesson - you can't just frick with a SCOTUS confirmation hearing with pure bullshite and get away with it.
Hell, I would love to see Kamala Harris questioned about her bullshite - acting like there was some attorney somewhere that was going to impeach Kavs testimony. And then nothing. It was a despicable unethical bluff.

Dishonesty, hypocrisy, obfuscation, violence, law breaking... it’s all fair game in their book as long as it’s against those who don’t agree with them.
They are consumed by certain insecurities... guilt, excessive empathy, self-loathing, extreme fear of uncertainty, and it makes them crazy full of resentment, anger, and hatred because at the same time, they truly believe they are intellectually and morally superior in thought and purpose.
