Only an absolute idiot would assume the city welcomed a deported criminal due to liberalism. He could have done the same thing in Mobile Alabama. Just because he happened to be in a sanctuary city, which you dont understand the meaning of, doesnt correlate with causation or negligence on the part of any liberal. Its a desperate attempt to blame liberals for unsavory things.
Btw, statistics show sanctuaries as safer. Its really convenient you pull a story like this one in which the perpetrator is an actual criminal, which sanctuary doesnt apply to. Nice try though. Keep drinking the conservative koolaid

I assume he was saying the illegal went to Portland specifically bc it's a sanctuary city and he wouldn't have to worry about being deported again

One of these will blow up when the offender had been previously arrested for a minor offense and immigration status was withheld from immigration authorities.
This guy wasn't just here illegally, he is here illegally again. He was already deported, likely under the obama administration.

You are right this could have been anywhere. But there are benefits to sanctuary cities even if an already deported with a criminal record

Sanctuary cities have said that they will not hold criminals for ICE in the event that they are arrested or have a run in with the police. Portland is as liberal as you can get. Conservatives don't agree with sanctuary cities. This is no desperate attempt; but the truth slapping you in the fricking face. And you don't like it. And it's sole reason is to change the demographics of the elecorate.

Obviously they are NOT safer if a 9 year old gets sexually abused by a man that was already deported and found sanctuary in a democratic city that will not abide by federal law and hunt down these criminals for ICE.

These cities were either safe or they weren't safe. Recent sanctuary status doesn't make them safer.
If Jackson MS became a sanctuary city tomorrow does that make it safer there, honestly?
I know there is a talking point argument that it could, but there is one that it wouldn't too.
All this stat shows is that as a group the cities that became sanctuary cities are safer than the national average

I dont know why youre calling me sweetheart considering youre the emotional one. That crime could happen in any city. Acting as if sexual assault or crime in general is somehow protected or unique to sanctuary cities is just stupid. The guy wasnt safer to sexually assault a child in Portland vs anywhere else.
