Denzel Washington on fake news

quote:

Washington was the subject of a phony story earlier this year that falsely claimed he was switching his support of then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to GOP White House hopeful Donald Trump.

One of the effects of "too much information," the 61-year-old Oscar winner says, is "The need to be first, not even to be true anymore."

"So what a responsibility you all have — to tell the truth," Washington exclaimed to the pack of reporters gathered on the red carpet.

"In our society, now it's just first — who cares, get it out there. We don't care who it hurts. We don't care who we destroy. We don't care if it's true," Washington continued.

"Just say it, sell it. Anything you practice you'll get good at — including BS."

Even a cuck Hillary supporter is calling out the fake MSM

It's been this way for a while, the only differences, there are now ways to go around them and get the truth out without the liberal filter.

Very interesting, but, yet... another actor going off, but at least this time it's speech aimed at something other than a politician.

Normally, I would agree with you. But, he's right in this case, and Denzel keeps his powder pretty dry. The times I have heard him express something political (even if I did not agree), it seemed pretty well thought out.

If a celebrity uses their platform and backs it up with "sleeves rolled up" work away from the cameras (Bono, Angelina Jolie, even George Clooney), I will give them credit (even if I think they are misguided). It's the ones that sit in their hypocritical and ignorant bubble and just pontificate that I can't stand.
