BJ caved in during his second term and hasn't gotten shite done. He could have made some real efforts to higher education reform, but caved at the first sign of push back.
I don't like that he appointed John the way he did either.

BJ is not a bad gov., but really could have been so much better if he had tried to form coalitions and tried to get things done instead of focusing on his next gig so much.

Seriously. If my home state can't find a more suitable elected leader than a diaper wearing hypocrite, then I will never feel sorry for the citizenry of LA again.

No biggie. Dardenne can just pull a Jindal and change the narrative.

Jindal Administration fought against the repeal of Stelly within the Capitol halls, then within weeks after Buddy Shaw's bill passed, Jindal's PAC took to the airwaves claiming Bobby gave that tax cut to Louisiana workers.

I agree but Jindal wasn't the one who argued & pushed it out of each house of the legislature

I'm still wondering if Scott Angelle is going to jump in. He'd definitely be the Team Jindal candidate, as neither Vitter nor Dardenne can stand him.

I would tend to doubt it. He would be getting on the bad side of everyone with no chance to be elected. I think he is eyeing LA03 once Boustany decides to move up/on.

I'd imagine anybody remotely associated with Jindal would not stand much of a chance to win. Bobby is not very well liked, nor respected, in Louisiana, and it's not just state employees and teachers who do not like him as most Jindalphiles will have you believe.

What? This thread doesn't make sense.

What part of the thread doesn't make sense? Did you not realize that if Vitter becomes governor, he appoints his replacement in the Senate?

I don't like the fact that Vitter did what he did, nor do I like the hypocracy involved, either, but if we start eliminating politicians because of their sexual escapades, none would get elected. To say they all do it, in some form or another, is not a valid excuse, but it is semi factual for the most part. I had a former college dorm roomie tell me, after being elected into the State Senate yrs ago: "it's funny how good looking I've become since being elected a senator". I'll look hard at Vitter's stances on various political issues & vote accordingly, not on his sexual morals. EWE was/is a slut & he got elected 4 times. His morals, or lack of same, were disgusting, but it was his political corruption that mattered the most to me. And the Most Honorable John Alario was right in the middle of all of the worst of those times.

Im going to be positive and believe the people of Louisiana will not elect him. If for some reason he does win, he will appoint Jindal.
