It almost certainly is an anti-Trump lefty. The selection of target and the fact the MSM haven't brought us the entire biography by now more or less strongly implies this.

If it ends up being that the Left has shot up Redneck Nation...they have stepped in it. It's one thing to shoot Politicians...but when they go for the Rednecks...there WILL be repercussions. The only link to the whole Prog theory is that it was a country music festival. While I'll admit that is making me pause, I would suggest that this country has dozens of old dudes with similar criminal psychopathy who just want to " kill the world" . Some on the left, some on the right. Unless it was primarily political and he left some kind of manifesto and/ or was motivated Primarily by politics I'm not sure it's all that difference from all the other nut jobs who get guns and try to kill the world. It's a Stephen- King- like character looking thing, somebody so tormented, angry and twisted and they want to create some lasting " masterpiece " as a FU to the world. The US will never run out of these guys.
