Let me start by saying that I voted for Trump. However, IF Obamacare isn't repealed during Trump's first term is he a failure as POTUS? I know most of the posters here are Trump fan-boys above all else and will defend everything he does but there are still a few posters here that are unbiased.

It doesn't matter what Hillary would have done had she won. That is irrelevant. It doesn't matter what another Republican would have done. Trump campaigned on repealing Obamacare and lowering insurance premiums. What scares me is that since winning I haven't heard him address the issue other than saying he may only amend it rather than replace it.

No matter what, I'm asking people to go on record now, yes or no, if it isn't repealed is Trump a failure?

It won't be repealed because too many conservative donors to the Republican Party make major bank off of it.

It is a fricking cash cow. Why would anyone want to stop that?

He can't repeal it by executive order and read a little about his son in law's brother's company. It's a medicinal company that is completely poised to get the windfall.

Providers might be changed but obamacare is giving a lot of people a very merry wealthy Christmas.

I would say yes, but it all depends if he delivers on other promises in regards to education, immigration and the economy.

Hopefully, he will listen to his HHS Secretary. Tom Price does have a detailed plan for repealing and replacing Obamacare. I would hope the reason Trump appointed him to that post is to help formulate a way to get out of the Obamacare mess.

Trump could leave everything as-is, sit in the Oval office watching reruns of the Apprentice for the next 4-8 years and still be considered a success just for keeping the Clintons out of the Whitehouse.

How can Obamacare be repealed without taking care of people with pre-existing conditions?

There are parts he will keep which I think most people agree with. Allowing kids to stay on their parents plan till 26, protecting individuals with prior health issues, etc. He will open it up to competition, stop requiring coverage for certain items etc. It may still be called the same thing but the guts of the plan won't be anywhere near the same.

absolutely amazing that the definition of "insurance" has been so bastardized that no one understands it any more

Yes, repealing Obamacare is an easy lay up. If he can't undo this travesty, then there is no hope for the rest.

One day you might stop voting in Presidential elections based on one issue.

He's a massive failure if he doesn't tackle the ACA and immigration. He has to fix both for me to view him as a success though thwarting the left for at least 4 years is already a success in its own way.

You didn't vote for Trump.

You say that so you can set the stage for your opinion or questions.

You have been highly critical of Trump throughout the elections.

You should be more honest with everyone, especially yourself.

Obamacare needs correction, not necessarily a full repeal. Most of it should be scrapped.

Would not mind repeal if we can return to how things were before Obamacare.
