Idaho library bans 6 books it deemed harmful to children, including several about LGBTQ+

The thread title is the title of the article, as close as I could get it to verbatim given the space restriction of the td.com title space
When I tried to reply to the article by asking why LGBTQ+ people were so interested in children, the Microsoft filters would not allow my question, saying it went against their "community standards"
I'll bet
So I'll ask you fine people. Why are LGBTQ+ people so interested in school age children? Why for example, do LGBTQ+ drag queens want to dance for little children? Forget about whether or not it's appropriate (it's not IMO). Why do they want to do it in the first place?

Among the books removed was "Gender Queer" by Maia Kobabe, and other books with LGBTQ+ themes.
Idaho Gov. Brad Little recently vetoed a bill that would have made public libraries liable for carrying books deemed "harmful."

I believe a big part of it is that it is much easier to convince a child that their lifestyle is 'normal', and the child will be much more likely to become LGBTQ+ themselves or at least friendly to them.

When I said slippery slope I was laughed at.
Now I laugh at those that ridiculed those of us that said this would happen.

The easiest way to get me to read a book when I was a kid was for it to be banned. Great job all around folks.

The least terrible of the many terrible reasons is probably their bad argument that kids are exposed to straight sexuality even if only parents and people on TV and in public kissing and holding hands. They want their lifestyle normalized and on equal footing with heterosexuality.

This is something we’ve been fighting in our local schools for 2 years. We’ve identified more than 60 books that are obscene and/or pornographic.
These books have cartoon pictures of masturbation, rape, children engaged in sex acts and also graphic descriptions of these acts, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, basically all of the things you try to keep your kids from viewing.
I promise, they’re in your schools too.

The biggest negative is how they are sneaking them in. Even in a series that hasn't had it. I was discussing this with a family member earlier how one of her children was reading a book in a series and it introduced a boy/boy crush out of nowhere. No heads up to parents. The fact that they have become so covert diabolical about their indoctrination is straight evil.

The library is not "banning" anything, that are merely establishing that those books won't be in the library.
Anybody can still go get them wherever it is such garbage comes from.
