debates instead of squaring off in violence.
Have a day of moderated debates in locations all over the park or grounds. Each side can record and present the debate online on YouTube or a website so we all could view the different perspectives and come to a rational conclusion without the filters of media or politicians.
It would have heavy security of course. There could be debating teams as well as opportunities for individuals to get involved.
I don't think anyone would want that but I'd like to see it.

Nazi debate team vs Antifa debate team

I like it.

Just tape guns under the table and tell each one that the other is going to try to kill them but you've put guns under the table so go ahead and take care of business.

There was a group in Seattle recently that invited folks up to the state who disagreed with them.

The moderators would be pro-leftist of course.

The people that attend these protests generally are not emotionally capable of having real debate.

Both sides are prone to using convenient and/or skewed statistics and shouting down the other side...so it would be useless. Just listen to Finebaum.

I'd advise wearing some heavy protection if you're going to do that.

But think of the entertainment value.

And almost everyone in the country will feel smarter whilst being entertained. But you hate America. But you hate POC. But you hate Jews. But you hit Bubba with a Louisville Slugger. Arrrrrrrggggg.

It's like when I lived in Alabama. A common saying was "Thank God for Mississippi".

You could just watch your typical MSM talking head show.

i have no idea why anyone would think they are capable of traditional debate

Have you ever been in an actual debate? There are no moderators. There's a time keeper. Moderators are what's wrong in what TV calls 'debates'. They are press conferences, not debates.

Lincoln and Douglas did not have a moderator.

The typical MSM show doesn't have the balance of the debate we are speaking about.

Those were in polite days. You said excuse me before you started and generally kept your cool for the most part. Those days have been over for a while.

Neither certainly seem capable of traditional protests. at least maybe this would end in shitty shouted down arguments instead of rioting.

Essentially have it end where the trouble in Charlottesville began.

Lmfao really? You need to pick up a history book or two. Some of these polite debates were so heated they ended with a duel.

One of the keys to this would be the ability of anyone to view a recording of the debates as presented by all sides involved as well as a raw unedited version of each debate.
The debates could be of all styles. The questions and topics would come from various sources depending on the style of debate.
It would aid in sorting it all out to get a more accurate vision of what are the real issues.
