right now its at its typical average value

So nothing unusual. Normal conditions of increasing ice followed by decreasing ice..followed by increasing ice, etc.

So this event is evidence of what again?

this berg was part of an ice shelf that calved because its has suffered long term melting
Is that why glaciers calve?

No?

I didn't think so.

At what temperature does ice melt?
It's dead of winter in Antarctica.
What are the current temps?

Scientists have already said this has nothing to do with global warming nor "man-made" global warming. It happens and has always been happening.

[quote] thats because its floating ice, its already displaced its water content and now we all know you are smart enough to grasp that concept with your sarcastic ohnoz but but I thought Anarctica was making ice on records pace just recently according to you deniers on here. btw this might be the largest iceberg in the entirety of human history.[/quote

To this entire post: WHO CARES? YOU AND I WILL BE LONG GONE BEFORE THERE IS ANY REAL EFFECT ON HUMANS FROM GLOBLAL WARMING. (if you believe in that thing).

What the earth is like 100+ years from now is of no consequence to me.

That's the brutal honest truth.

I just live my life. Drive the vehicle I want, run the AC like I want, leave the lights on if I want, fly in planes etc.

About all I don't do is litter. And that's because I can see the direct effects on my environment when it's done.
