of the constitution? So why are thousands still invading Texas?LINK

Because Abbott is like most other Republicans, all bark and no bite.

Because Abott is lying just like the rest of the spineless GOP. It's all lip service.

Abbott busing out illegals was all optics. It's back to business as usual for Wheels. Texas had a chance to out him in the primary and we didn't.

Because no one is allowed to shoot at them.

As they destroy our country they still pay other taxes which makes their state richer. All government handouts and supply/resources gets more focused on Texas because of the influx of illegals.

Abbott is a spineless frick. Hence the wheelchair.
Yeah, I said it.
Typical longhorn. Can't count on them for nuthin' except treachery and disappointment.

This.
When Texas secedes (because I'll never stop advocating for that to happen), Abbott's ilk (and all "Texans" who care more for playing federal games than taking care of Texas) can go ahead and git, too.
frick 'em.

Why do you want literally everything about your life to get worse, more expensive, and/or decrease in quality?

How would any citizen of an independent Texas be more free than a current US citizen?
Are Texas’s cities going to somehow stop having unanimous Marxist leadership? Are they going to execute the 46% of the state that votes Democrat?

quote:I wasn't mistaken I just asked the question since I haven't paid any attention to the border lately until I heard record numbers are crossing into Texas yesterday and remembered something about Abbott and the invasion clause. So in the end it appears its just all bark by Abbott just like his Lego set shipping containers wall with 50 ft gaps that didn't do shite.
you were apparently under the mistaken impression that said invocation is a meaningful action.

American history answers that question.
The scenario we face now isn’t that dissimilar to what the colonies faced.
We are currently paying $billions to DC to fund services and projects—administered by millions of unelected bureaucrats—for services we don’t want or need.
Meanwhile, our needs as Texans aren’t being met.
It’s analogous to being taxed without representation.
It is simply the natural state of affairs that people have their own state.
We have been temporarily under the jurisdiction of a government that doesn’t work.
Article 1, Section 2 of the Texas Constitution states:
All political power is inherent in the people and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to that limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.
