I like Trump’s policies, but I can’t fully support him because of his associates

Trump hasn’t gotten any better at surrounding himself with good people.

But I don’t really line any of the other candidates.

Republicans had a chance this round, but Rep leadership is absolute shite.

I’m already sick of this election year.
My only hope is that congress & senate remain split so that nothing much happens.

How did his “associates” affect “his policies”?

Chris Christie told him to hire Wray, so he did.
Kushner talked him into letting felons out of prison
His daughter cried until he bombed Syria
Fauci talked him into backing lockdowns

There are plenty of examples if you look for them.

Well, who do we consider an associate or advisor? Roger Stone? Mike Lindell?

I'd say there are three or four people in Trump's orbit that are not clowns. Nunes and Grenell, Patel and Scavino are maybes as they flirt with Q LARPs. I hate what happened to Flynn, but he is kind of a joke now.

Javanka was a mess. At least they are out of the picture, by most accounts.

Yeah he was saddled with a lot of shitty hires. The way I see it, that’s sort of the logical, I’d say necessary, trade off of electing someone who never held an elected office in his life. I accept it as such, but sort of lament what it meant for him with people like Wray, Fauci and others.

I never expected his administration would be some flawless machine. I can’t imagine expecting anyone’s would or would ever. Seems horribly naive to think any could be.

I liked the guy’s “policies” in general, regardless. I like the idea of an outside perspective as well. I fear the entrenched filth have assured we will never get another. It seems weird to see how many are happily content with that fact.

Sucks to me.

I’m not even talking about “clean”. I actually wish Trump could find a few killers. Trump’s associates are generally shady AND kind of stupid. I could deal with shady, but I’m sick of the shitshow.

Odd how this doesn't apply to Ron. People obsess about what type of people support him. Hell they even obsess about the nameless people here on a message board that support him.
