Little known fact. Before we invaded Iraq, someone realized we forgot to bring enough bullets, so we got millions of rounds of 5.56 from Israel and had it flown from Israel to Kuwait just days before the invasion.
So they flew us our own bullets we gave to them.

They pretty much hammer down the extremist. Turkey is very western esp by Middle East standard.
I wouldn't mind getting stationed there, have heard some pretty good things.
When it comes to separation of church and state, Turkey is more secular than the U.S. is. The current Prime Minister once spent six months in prison for violating a law which prohibits public prayer and women are banned from wearing hardscarves in public buildings.

Ive had a few people from my old unit tdy or deploy down to Israel. Some mixed responses. Only thing they could all agree on was the women. Esp the ones serving in the IDF. But those are the ones they use to steal shite from your hotel.

Can someone please tell me exactly what Israel has done for the United States in the last 100 years?

Figures for last month showed that while Mr Erdogan received 533 minutes of airtime on state television to make his pitch, his two rivals got three minutes and 45 seconds respectively.
That farcically lopsided allocation of media coverage is only one of many indications that Turkey is morphing into a Russian-style “shell” democracy, in which managed plebiscites mask the essentially autocratic character of a system containing few or no checks and balances.
Mr Erdogan has made good use of these alleged conspiracies to ram through key changes, purging institutions of his opponents, starting with the army and police. When he began putting generals on trial, Western governments were inclined to applaud, seeing the Turkish armed forces as over-fond of politics and their own privileges. But the purges have continued to the point where the only serious resistance to Mr Erdogan’s whims now comes from the judges, who in April bravely struck down his attempt to ban the use of social networks.
If Mr Erdogan gets away with all this, it will be because he has presided over unparalleled economic growth and – equally crucially – has championed the restoration of Turkey’s Sunni Muslim identity, which is a hugely popular cause among the religious masses.

What has anyone done for the USA?
After Obama, who would want to help?

Here you go, BP. Israel is the 'canary in the coal mine'; Islamists HATE the Jews more than they HATE our Free (narcissistic, perverted, hypocritical, Allah-less, etc., etc.) society...and they WILL hit Israel with a suicidal attack as soon as they are able. And Israel will wipe anyone associated with that attack...off the map.
So, they will do to Islamism what we don't have the balls to do; at least yet. Mercilessly destroy them, because they threw the first genocidal punch. As such, Israel is the point of our Military spear, re Islamist.
You should not begrudge Israel support. Be thankful for their diligence.
