I just rewatched the Lester Holt debate on the DVR

After rewatching it, it is amazing how much more quick and on point Trump was than I remember. Dude was lightyears ahead of Shillary. Just goes to show you how corrupt the media can be and how much of an affect it can have on our country if not called out on their bullshite.

Trump actually bombed that first debate and even his campaign staff admitted as such in the days after the spin room there. He literally thought he could wing it like it was another GOP primary debate and that bit him on the arse.
The second debate is where improved drastically and absolutely hammered Clinton and that happened because he prepped for it, studied for it and was patient enough for it and kept the interruptions to a minimum and didn't look like a jackass.

I just believe that if Trump had not stood his ground with Hillary on the issues in this first debate he would not have won over the middle of the line voters.

That's not what lost it.
While he didn't have some huge meltdown moment in the debate, it was a slow but steady drip drip of SMH moments and too many interruptions that put Trump in the hole,
Trump cleaned it up for the second debate and Hillary had no answer for him there.

No doubt Trump was better in the second debate. No question at all. In my opinion the precedent was set in the first debate though, with the highest ratings of any debate in history. 80 Million people tuned in that night and I'm sure Trump won some votes from the middle.If someone were just tuning into MSM or social media, you would have thought Trump was a joke. I think if he had not been rambunctious in the first debate, he would not have been taken as serious as a formidable opponent to Clinton.
