I suspect they probably saw what happened to their immigrant brethren last month and decided income and a job was worth more than bullshite political statements.

You're in the south. Women down here like being women so there isn't much need to protest.

Look, lezbehonest here. The only women out on a general strike are the ones who (a) weren't working anyway either by choice or no sane person would hire them, (b) has a job that involves protesting or shilling for some non-profit org that is behind this shite, or (c) is borderline clinically insane anyway.

No woman I personally know is participating or encouraging this crap in any way shape or form. Hell most of them don't even know what it is happening.

I'm in California. We are all here, no one is wearing red and no one is discussing this nonsense.

I think the majority of "protesters " live on the east coast or west coast. States that HRC won. Losers

I had one in my office who said that she would have taken off today to join the protest but last Monday was her first day back from maternity leave (using actual maternity leave + accrued time to take 12 weeks off) so she had no leave left.

If someone takes approved pto and decided to join the protest you think the company should still be allowed to legally fire them?

Seems as if it's a east coast thing. From what I saw this morning all the schools being shut down were on the east side of the country.

Well, considering that's not what happened with the immigrants that got shitcanned, I don't see how that's relevant. That said, personal time is just that, personal.

The only gal on my facebook feed who is out protesting is a purple haired sjw I knew in college who now (of course) lives in Portland who for months has been "taking time off for herself".
