I agree (see my post above). I've even gotten in trouble with text and I've always been pretty good at expressive my message in writing. But the few people who took my emails incorrectly in the business arena were all women co-workers.

It harkens back to my experience coaching girls softball.
Zach to Susie Shortstop... Susie, you need to get in front of the grounder so that you can at least knock it down and throw the runner out.

Susie hears ... Susie, you're fat and ugly and I hate you.

Don't worry Zach. Lady I'm seeing sent me a text
Her:"Did you just drive down highway A?"
Me:"Nope. I'm in my office. You know we're slammed today."
Her:"Are you sure?"
Me:"I'm pretty confident that I'm sitting at my desk working on a treatment program. What's the matter?"
Her:"Oh nothing...okay. nevermind."

I asked later on about it and she got pissed. She doesn't trust me and I called her on it. It was my fault for trying to discuss the truth.

Oh...I sent packing. Do not need that much insecurity from a female.

I've had a lot of those conversations.
The first one was shortly after we got married. I was planning a complicated dinner that must be timed out and not just left on the stove.

Me: Honey, when do you want dinner tonight?
(she looks at the clock)
Lucy: It's 2 O'clock! It's much to early for dinner!
Me: Honey, that would be a good answer if my question was "Do you want to eat now?"
Lucy: Oh, OK, about 6 O'clock.

It's obvious that the DEM party relies on emotional 'feel' to sway the narrative in an impulsive manner. Once the narrative is established, it is very difficult to undo it in the minds of the not-so-intelligent, not to mention the knowing liars.

So - they trot out a factoid - extrapolate it to = "GOP wants you to drink polluted water" - then declare the debate is over.

ZACH_ btw - about your garden - how big and what do you raise?

I just finished putting in a 1200 sq ft garden and have it about half planted with tomatoes, onions, eggplant, squash, cucumbers - all from potted seedlings. Have not planted the seeds yet.

It's been over 60 years since I worked a garden - phew!!! I need my mother here - she could grow enough for three families on a driveway.

I can only do containers. I had to make a decision early on when I built the house. A garden would require big oak trees to go. I've got 122 very tall mature trees...well over 50 feet each. And it's all on 1.3 acres of yard. It looks like the Black Forest. But I value that more than a garden so I just grow peppers (jalapenos and serranos) in containers on the deck. I have to move them once a day to get proper sunlight.

Your garden sounds great. But it would never work with my lack of sunlight. My dad grew small fruit bushes when I was a kid... tangerines, satsumas, figs. He had a small back yard with little sunlight but he made it work. That was in New Iberia with no danger of frost. Up here in Shreveport ya gotta watch for frost so I never attempted those bushes.

As a reality it will never happen. As a hypothetical "What should be" ..Absolutely. It would be the greatest economic boom the developed world has ever seen. Politicians would no longer be afraid to strip away entitlements and regulations on capitalism.

you must hang around idiots. Most of the liberals I know have advanced degrees and are happy to engage in debate over topics.

Most of the conservatives I know are the ones that don't want to debate. My ultra conservative step father will say - "We are going to debate the topic but I would like to say abortion is wrong/evolution is a crock of shite/etc"

From my anecdotal evidence, I have determined that all conservatives are idiots and hate debate. /rock solid conclusion.

I know. It's very disheartening. Imagine what could be. I bet chicks would start taking better care of themselves too. No more baggy tshirts and sweatpants. And all that economic shite too.

You couldn't be more wrong. Or, perhaps you could be but you shouldn't try to be more wrong. I'm linear in argumentation style. I never fail to respond to any counter argument unless it's posted past my bedtime.

Just the opposite of what you suppose. I hang around with Div. 1 and 2 (The Bell Curve 5 sectors on IQ). The intelligent liberals are easy to trap because they can't deal with logic. When they are trapped they stop the conversation.

IRL example...

Liberal Prof... We should not judge other cultures.
Women should have equal power as men and should not be abused.

Me... Then what is your position on female genital mutilation in Africa?

Long Pause

Liberal Prof.. I cannot answer that question, Zach.

Edit... And just to show that Zach is very forward thinking in his views about women I totally disagree with this...

Saudi ban on women drivers

However, women should not be allowed to text while driving. When I stop at a light and it turns green and the woman in front of me is looking at her pussy I don't think she's masturbating.

I haven't noticed it, I normally witness liberals eviscerate conservatives on all topics but taxes.

I think you've pretty much nailed down why more women vote liberal.

The only time I've backed down from a discussion with a liberal it has been because liberals in a group tend to get violently angry whenever anyone disagrees with the group's viewpoint...this is also much like how a woman reacts when you prove her wrong. Just on a larger scale.

Sound like something right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook. When the Left knows they're losing they simply declare the debate over. They are not interested in the slightest in other people's opinions and have zero respect for anyone who doesn't agree with them vehemently. The smugness is quite transparent.

Evolution discussion with my step father.

Him: Evolution isn't proven, its a theory.
Me: Sure its a theory but a theory can be proven. And scientists almost universally agree that the theory of natural selection is correct with some tweaks.
Him: No, there is a ton of research that says evolution is wrong.
Me: Can I see this research?
Him: Read the bible, and we aren't talking about this anymore.
