This is pretty much me too. It would have to take a pretty egregious, express action or statement by a CEO or owner for me to boycott something.

yeah, I am pretty nihilist and lazy. and while I do recycle, i only do it to not be nagged by wife and friends. It's a fricking scam. I do compost though, but that is different as I control the process.

And if ten million other Prime members do the same thing, then.....

1. Why would 10 million people cancel their subscriptions because the CEO owns stock in WaPo which reported a story that you don't like?

2. Unless your subscription is about to run out it is still active for quite a while. So, are you still going to take advantage of free two day shipping while "sticking it to the man?"

You're wayyyyy overthinking this. As I wrote in the OP.

No. I haven't owned Amazon stock in years. And even then it was a day trade.

Smart.

I think that this situation absolutely requires that a completely futile and useless gesture be done on someone's part.

I respect your point of view and action. I recently cancelled Netflix on principle also. Amazon Prime is a hard one to let go of, it's so darned convenient. But more power to you and never mind the dumb asses!

See, what have I missed about Netflix that would cause you to do this?

So no Amazon Prime and a decade in the past? Sucks.

The news of my canceling my Prime membership is having the desired effect!

Bezos' Amazon stock value is down approximately $1,344,000,000 (-$16.00/share) as of right now!

ETA: Now down $1,416,000,000!
