How were dems able to consolidate so much power under Obama?

Before Obama I would say wwe didn't have as many ideologicay people in power. The media while left leaning but generally were neutral, courts where more so impartial, and goverment agencies strickly focused on the task.
What did Obama do to be able to overtake the federal government with so much power that it will take decades to cleanse it.
I believe one thing is day one Obama fired everyone Bush hired. Meanwhile Trump was advise that he couldn't a shouldn't an had the false belief federal employees would fall in line.

Let me suggest an alternate question …. at what time did the Intelligence community begin using the Patriot Act to assume administrative control over the US Government.

It wasn’t just Obama. There is very little to no difference between Clinton-W Bush-Obama. That’s 24 consecutive years of power between them and they all played a role in where we are as a country. They might as well all be the same person looking back on it. No President is going to be able to undo 24 years in 4 or 8. Trump failed miserably at this and in reality only expanded the swamp by appointing idiots like Wray, Milley, Bolton, etc.

do you not remember all the firings that happened in his first year? all those top brass let go or forced into retirement so he could push the wokesters into power spots. It did not stop with the military.

You realize Trump could have forced all those Obama people out but he was too lazy to actually do it? He also appointed Milley for gods sake it doesn’t get anymore woke than that and Trump put him into power

There was an infographic about this circulating years ago that has since been scrubbed, but Obama appointed a mind boggling number of rabid and unscrupulous ideologues. He set records for appointees from academia, lobbying firms, and the like. Prior to Obama, presidents appointed allies to high level positions, but rank and file were all workerbee types who made their careers in DC regardless of party politics. He also built in a trend started by Clinton where federal bench seats were kicked into overdrive, and community groups at the local levels (think Acorn) were weaponized to get party loyalists elected to DA, SOS, and other key seats at the state level.
In short, politicize everything not nailed down.

I heard Scalise asked about Obama’s disregard for the Constitution-among other transgressions over TEN years ago, and he cited the racism excuse for his silence.
