Congressional Republicans have repeatedly stated their intention to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act soon after Donald Trump takes office.

STEP 1:

Bring witnesses to congressional hearing to testify about the horrors of being able to afford their cancer treatment

STEP 2:

Obama forced to watch as Mitch McConnell shreds each individual page of the Affordable Care Act in front of him

STEP 3:

Hold press conference to remind Americans we all have to die sometime

STEP 4:

Draft new healthcare bill with, uh, vouchers, maybe? Yeah, vouchers sound good. Put them in there.

STEP 5:

Double-check to make sure there’s no women stuff in there

STEP 6:

Obstruct new healthcare bill a few times purely out of habit

STEP 7:

Do a quick 30,000-page copy edit

STEP 8:

Part where 20 million people lose health insurance

STEP 9:

Republican leaders take celebratory photo with bunch of sick Americans who can no longer afford treatment

STEP 10:

Guy with red lump on thigh guesses he’ll just wait and see

STEP 11:

Paul Ryan goes home and hugs family with firm belief he has done good and important work

That's pretty good

Pretty disturbing that repubs want to screw millions of Americans out of health coverage simply because it has Obama's name on it

That isn't happening. They will still be more than welcome to have health coverage.

Republicans want to own every failure of the health care system over the next 4 years, and the political consequences of kicking over 20 Million people off of their insurance plans?

That's a bold move, Cotton...

Please, in your infinite wisdom, describe how repealing the ACA without a replacement won't remove 20M people from their insurance come 2018.

And go on, show how your sharp political mind will make sure that the Democrats own the failings that will occur from Republicans passing this bill.

That's slightly overstated.

Show me the legislation that will prohibit anyone from obtaining health insurance.

Democrats own the failings

Democrats took ownership March 23, 2010.

On the ACA exchanges? That would be the resolution passed by Congress.

Republicans take ownership the day they repeal it, or any part of it. Have fun!

Which prohibits exactly zero people from having health insurance.

Republicans take ownership

The majority of Americans that want it repealed suggest otherwise.

That's the most ignorant thing you've ever said. How are they supposed to pay for your magical health insurance, or obtain it with a pre-existing condition?

Only 18% agree with the current Republican repeal plan. And a majority of Americans want most of the law kept.

The same way every else that had insurance paid for and obtained it.

58% said repeal was a top priority.

And if they can't afford it, or are denied coverage due to a preexisting condition? You're usually better than this, what's up today?

Of Trump voters? Surprised it's that low.
