$100 million? No way cruise missiles are cheap, and we blew up 59 of them. Seemed like a legit use of taxpayer money. MAGA

Compared to the 9,000 air strikes made during the Obama administration?

I think they said a million per missile on Fox last night.

You spend $100 million to send a message and hopefully prevent spending billions in the future on war

It depends on a lot of things. Fact is it costs a lot to maintain missiles, so if we don't replace them in our stockpile then you actually cut out the R&M costs.

Yeah, but maybe we could have sold them to the Congo and got our money back!!!

We got plenty back-ups. Not like they were made in a factory yesterday. Those were already paid for. :lol

We could have sold them to Assad to use on his citizens like we used to!

There is a military budget. At some point a portion of that budget was spent on the Tomahawk missiles that were used in Syria. They were already built and paid for... and there will be money in the budget for new Tomahawks whether we use them or not.

I bet we dispose of more munitions due to age than are actually used.

Yep, money that could have been better spent bolstering Brazil's offshore drilling efforts or funding a political supporter's dream of running a solar panel company.

Now, we're concerned with spending?

Did Trump go on a shopping spree last night? It didn't cost anything. It's already been budgeted for. We bought these missiles a long time ago.
