This is turning into South Park.
The entire town turns out to see who will sit or stand for the National Anthem at the Girl's Volleyball Game.

You are such a douche. You do realize it's possible to love and respect your country without going into the military right?
Certainly, I mean the president is a draft dodger and he manages to say he respects our military...unless they are POWs.

Except he didn't.

So. What did he do? His purpose, specifically?
Posted on 9/30/17 at 5:53 pm to Tactical1
He said "I refuse to stand for the flag of a country that oppresses black people".

Plenty, I hope.
I am tired of the NFL extorting taxpayer dollars by threatening to move a team.

So where did you go to boot camp. Surely someone as patriotic as you suddenly are served in the military right...captain...?
You must have dove into my thread about the announced strategy of the Dims to regain control of DC. I guess the Dims are trying to groom/recruit progressive minded veterans to run for congress believing that they will not be attacked because they served the country. WRONG!
If you're a Dim/Prog you're an enemy of the state, serving our country is admirable but not a free pass from political criticism, ask Kerry and McCain they will concur.

Sure but two things.
1. Pick your battles well
2. Choose your place more wisely

If everybody wants the players to focus on the game so much, then why not do just that? Focus on the game. Remove all the pre-game ceremonies, including the anthem, and go straight to playing football. Let the players be patriotic/protest on their own time...

The ones who are employed by the NFL - one of the most lucrative businesses - who don't give a shite if they kneel or not.
Posted on 9/30/17 at 10:29 pm to CptBengal
I think the whole controversy has made the kneeling protest a farce. Not many care or remember whatever the players were kneeling about. Now, it's either you kneel and hate the U.S.A. or stand and love the U.S.A. They overplayed their hand, and shot themselves in the foot.
