They all do. Their self righteousness knows no bounds. There is no low they won't stoop to.
You can't reason with them, you can't argue with them, you can't appeal to fairness. They are beyond saving, and trying to do so only makes them hate you more.
The only thing you can do is to prepare for what is coming. Arm yourselves and start stockpiling supplies.

Of course they think this is acceptable. Just as it is acceptable to diddle kids, jail political opponents, and give puberty blockers to children.

i’ll reply but only after you explain why “former President” has anything to do with your question, or do you think just being a former President automatically qualifies you for another run at the position. You asked an oversimplified question so answer my oversimplified question.

To be clear, do we really want a law that says “Any person who has served as President of the United in the past shall be qualified to run for the office of the Presidency, without exception.”

Well, it's like this...

Donald Trump represents the most dire threat that we have every seen to our democracy. As such, he must be stopped at any costs. Remember, he tweets out very mean things, eats fast food, feeds fast food to visitors in the White House, conspires with Foreign Governments, was twice impeached, fomented violence and insurrection at the Capitol, and is involved in multiple civil and criminal cases. They wouldn't bring theses cases against him if he wasn't guilty. Therefore, any means to stop him are acceptable.
