I feel so many miss the golden opportunity to hold their local representatives feet to the fire. State and local politics offer everyone a chance to speak and interact with their local officials, unlike the national guys.
If you are unhappy with something, make your concerns known. The Louisiana state legislature is currently in shambles with a Republican super majority. Make it known you will vote their arse out if they don’t shape up.

I have attempted...but Raffy doesn't really want to hear from constituents. I've talked to one of his "people".

Me. At least a half dozen times a year to my Senator, me Congressman, my state rep, my state senator, my counsel members, and my mayor.

I plan on contacting my state legislators about introducing a law to protect drivers in these protestors blocking the road situations. I believe several states have passed laws regarding this.

Not a single one of these people has any concern about your concern.

You are labelled a terrorist for walking into a building you paid for now.

This is what it took to deal with concerns against piece of shits.

Won’t go into to many details but my wife teaches the child of one of my representatives.

They are definitely feeling the heat from conservatives.

So much so that she could not reach the parents because they changed all numbers and email.

He also announced he was not seeking re-election.

Hell, local house rep used to be my neighbor. Parents went to school with my DA. My Parish President owns a business I frequent and lives in my town. So some of them I just naturally run in to.

Others I do contact regularly, even officials not in my district. The last few years I've contacted them all way more often bc of all the frickups.

I do for sure. I contact our senators by email, which they never truly answer. I also visit in person all local state senators and representatives that I have any ties to. I also text them when they should hear my voice.

Did during the Georgia election mess. Local rep wasn’t ready for the national spotlight. Local Senator did a decent job. Contacted them both, but didn’t hear back.

I find that interesting, I contact my representative and state senator and usually the representative will at least call me back and discuss her position on a particular bill. I was honestly shocked the first time it occurred.

Not e fricking nough but that will soon change. People have been distant from politics but when the market crashes. The housing market crashes. It will touch people. Trump made America to comfortable where they didn’t have to worry about anything except tweets. I pray no conservative ever makes that mistake again

I have been on the state level. I know Sen Kennedy votes how I would. I don't even trust the response I would get emailing Cassidy.

Been hammering the State legislature. My biggest concerns are the 2A bills ans getting critical race theory back on the floor to vote.

Our local city council has been acting a little extreme out of nowhere on gun control so calling there too.

Its been whack a mole

My wife and I are friends with my Rep. We hang out from time to time. So yes, we talk about things and the current state of certain matters at the capitol. Some things you don't want to know.

I have and still do. Graves and Cassidy are spineless and China-owned.
By the way, does Clay Higgins do ANYTHING but take pictures and post on facebook?

My metrocouncil member would use to come to our monthly homeowners meeting. then she stopped right before Chyna 19 virus. My state rep got real snooty with me when I asked several questions about traffic problems in the BR area. Graves is the only one who listens to what I have to say.

Tried many times.... results are almost always the same, form letter response or silence, only once about 10 years ago was I able to address the political figure in person.

I know our state rep pretty well, and he is a first timer. When I do talk to him, he just validates that the entire organization is a shitshow. Outside of a few real conservatives (mostly new members of congress), they all only care about themselves and are not looking to work together.

And then proceeded to blow you off as soon as the conversation ended. He's a snake, more so than Cassidy.

I emailed Bill Lee last week and told him to ban CRT in TN. Got a pre-written response thanking me
