How is Trump an adversary to the "deep state".

I keep hearing the "deep state" is fighting back.
What is the "deep state" trying to preserve or fight for? What is Trump trying to take from them?

Well, it's a good point because he got in line like a good neocon with Syria and seems to be in bed with Goldman Sachs types like all of our other politicians. So, I'm not sure what establishment positions he is even fighting now, other than maybe on immigration.

Notice how there is literally no difference between Hillary and Jeb? That's the election they wanted because its a bullshite choice. Get us arguing over gay marriage and abortion while they rob the country blind.
Then Trump comes along and he isn't onboard at all. Doesn't want to escalate in Syria, thinks we can actually get along with Russia and solve some common issues, doesn't believe in open borders. Not to mention his past statements shitting all over the intelligence community.
Trump is not like them and represents a threat to their interests, both policy and financially.
It's not hard to figure out they are on the same team when its Republicans like John McCain who are actually leading the charge with this Russia narrative. Hell he is the one that disseminated the dossier in the first place.

He defiantly gave the appearance of "getting in line". But he called the Russians an hour before to vacate the Syrian airport and the bombing really did no harm.
Looking back is seems like his alternative objective was to placate the neocons. They are getting restless again.

Trade. He killed the TPP and TTIP and wants to rework NAFTA. He is also threatening to remove the US from the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

The Deep State wants perpetual war and high Defense spending. They want power for its own sake.
They expected this year another big war in Syria like the one we did for no reason in Iraq. Clinton was chomping at the bit to deliver. So far Trump hasn't cooperated.
ETA: Oh, yeah. The Deep State/globalists wants as many unvetted, unwashed Syrians relocated to the United States as possible.
To the degree that the US ever was, or was seen as, a force for good in the world, the Deep State/Globalists want that gone.

Like what?
Syria? They want to send in troops to topple Assad. Like a serious amount of troops. That's not happening.
Immigration? Yet to be seen if we will get the wall but illegal immigration is way down and he is issuing executive orders to curb immigration from certain parts of the world.
TPP? It's gone.
Obamacare? We need to see what comes out of the Senate but the House bill was not impressive. Still waiting on this one.
