I keep hearing people say that.

He was a governor and failed Presidential candidate.

How does that qualify him?

What am I missing?

What kind of experience do you think qualifies someone for the position that he doesn't have?

Obviously you don't know anything about Romney. He is HIGHLY qualified.

That being said I oppose him getting anything in the administration AND any bones thrown to him from the party. He went too far.

If you think he's qualified please let me know why. That's the point of this thread.

Any man that can't drink a glass of sweet tea has no business making decisions on behalf of the leader of the free world.

He's proven himself in business, running the Olympics and as a governor.
He has talent and experience in administration.
In his duties he had successfully worked with foreign entities

he is respected by most reasonable people on the left and right

he is a successful businessman (like Trump)

he is well spoken & polished

and his presence would give legitimacy to Trump's administration

also, SecState serves at the pleasure of POTUS; he would be handcuffed in that he would have to advocate Trump's position

A quick read of his Wikipedia and that if his parents and my conclusion is that he's 110% establishment.

Sure he's smart and got the degrees from all the big schools but what else do you expect from someone fed with a silver spoon?

He road his dad's coat tails and obviously got the connections to be successful that only us pawns dream of.

frick that guy I say.

Et tu, Brute? is all I can think.

His main qualifications is that he was CEO of a highly successful investment firm, was head of one of the few profitable Olympics, and was governor of Massachusetts.

He can negotiate and knows how to run things. What else do you want?

Mitt Romney may have been a privileged kid, but he does have the talent and ability to justify his success.

It's like you are saying Steph Curry isn't good at basketball because his dad is Dell Curry and grew up rich as the son of an NBA player.

Honestly, you voted for Donald Trump, someone with absolutely no political experience or qualifications to be the President of the United States.

You really have no right to question Mitt Romney's incredible resume in being Secretary of State.

So in short: shut the frick up.

Trump has tons of political experience at this point. He just beat the frick out of both parties. He went against the best politicians in both parties and beat their arse at the only thing that matters in politics, the election.

A year and a half. That's less than a bachelor's degree.

And that's because he understands the media. It has nothing with him understanding politics. He lured the media into a trap, they fell for it, and they were utterly destroyed. Trump clearly understands marketing, but I have no idea if he knows how to run a country.

This is like watching a team get their arse kicked in football and still claim the other team sucks. He beat your teams arse 35-10 sortof game, if he's a rookie that should scare you even more. Yall might need a new coach and better players
