So when Newsom says he won’t run for president - this is what he means.
The presidency will be given to him.

This only works if the Congresional GOP allows his VP nomination to proceed.

The republicans in the HOR would never let Newsom be VP. In the unlikely event that VP spot becomes vacant Mike Johnson will tell Biden he can choose between Joe Manchin or Jon Kasich.

I’m not sure this board is a good representation of how little average Americans pay real close attention to politics.
Plastic Gavin is a good looking fella, carries himself confidently and can lie/talk circles as well as any Democrat since Obummer.
Hell, even Trump professes to like the guy because Gavin is nice to him. Sensei almost gets beside himself trying to be Gavin’s chum.
Don’t underestimate America’s ability to fall for the external packaging. Gavin makes me nervous. Lord help us.

The avg American does know. Especially where it matters outside the cities. One thing most forget about the big cities is the mass exodus. It should give an advantage we didn’t have a few years ago.
