Yeah, he did say that he's above conflicts of interest, and it's true, by law. He can legally continue to run his businesses if he wants to while being President, but he's choosing not to. Instead, he put on a show to explain to everyone how he's going out of his way to avoid a conflict of interest.

If it's not illegal, why would you be complaining? Regardless, he and his lawyer said he will be abstaining from the appearance of a conflict by not talking about the business with his sons. Even if he goes back on that statement, he's legally allowed to do that.
