It's going to be hard to miss you when I didn't even know you posted here. Maybe you'll do like JazzyJeff and tell everyone how you are gone for good, only to return the next day?

They paid $1.7 million for the New York house the year before Perjuring Bill left office. Then, they paid $2.85 million for a house in Georgetown a little more than two weeks before they left the White House.

But they were so broke that they had to worry about paying Chelsea's tuition?

Do you know how much debt they had when they left the White House?

The Clintons were heavily in debt when they left the WH (millions in legal fees). Going in, I think Hillary's best years of earning were about $200K. Bill never made over $50,000. They were able to buy a lot of things on credit based upon future earning potential (which they've more than realized).

Good bye. It must be very tiring and frustrating defending the indefensible every day.

That would have been a drop in the bucket relative to the money they made running drugs for Daddy Bush out of Mena, Arkansas.

I don't think TX Tiger had ever met a conspiracy theory he didn't agree with.

Must be tough being so enlightened but being forced to live amongst the 'sheeple'.

Oh, that's right, habitual criminals don't break the law. Why can't I remember that?

Sarah Palin has everything to do with the topic in that Cons apply different standards for different people. Both the Palins and the Clinton's weren't rich and faced legal bills. Both got rich when leaving office. Except Palin quit. But you won't find a thread here attacking her and calling her a liar, c*nt, blah blah blah. All if these faux "scandals" and outraged are at least comparable to Reps but you guys don't like being called on your hypocrisy.

Here are the Clinton's tax returns while in office:

And after:

I'll ask for the usual retractions and apologies,

The only difference is that Sarah Palin isn't an hypocrite.

She's got no problem with people earning and keeping their money. Whereas Hillary is constantly whining about the 1%, of which she is a member. She's the perfect crony capitalist, punishing her enemies and rewarding her friends through the tax code and regulation.

Oh, and on those Charitable Gift deductions, how much did they take for Bill's used underwear?

VB and Trackfan, I understand that you're trying to defend her as "technically correct"...but it's clearly disengenuous for her to say they were "broke" and had to "struggle to get finances lined up" while buying mansions.

Does the average citizen really want to hear a millionaire politican whine about being "broke" with millions in financing already lined up? Give me a break.

1. Chelsea was halfway out of college when they left office. So yes, on the president's salary and the cost of tuition, it's clearly a struggle along with the mortgages.

2. She was asked the question and it was loaded... Justify the millions you've made. I have no doubt if Palin were asked the same question, she'd give the same response.

3. I have no doubt if Palin were asked that question from the same Diane Sawyer, there would be a thread on it but it would be attacking Sawyer, not Palin. and you know I'm right.

It reminds me of sports team owners who whine about the team being broke, yet REFUSE to sell it for tens/hundreds of millions.

Who are they kidding?

yea, the struggle is real

once again, give me a fricking break. they were not broke in any sense of the word.

If Palin gave the same answer id feel the same way...no one wants to hear millionaires whine about finances.

It may have been a loaded question, but she gave a stupid answer to it. Defend it all you want.

You actually think they had to pay Chelsea's tuition?

Besides that, who in their right mind would believe ANYTHING that came out of the mouth of Hillary Clinton.

Aftr having spent 8 years with no morgage? I would assume to have to actually pay for such things as mortage, food, transportation, etc was a shock. No way they could have put a few $$$ aside for the gap between being in the WH and raking in boat loads of money from speaking tours?

Did the questioner mention Palin? If not why did you?

But there wasn't such a question was there? So here you go again assuming things not in evidence.

But it is refreshing to see the Palin card played again. It's been out of play for a while; time to bring it back in, right?
