Do you really think most democrats want the EC to pull some sort of short-sighted stunt like that? Most are appalled at the idea of Trump as president, but "trumping" the EC would be awful.
Also, if the election is "stolen" from trump, we might end up with Chuck Norris or Ted Nugent next time....so...it might be a blessing. He's already proven he can't take a joke and he can't spell....I say let him keep shorting the bed then we can get back to electing serious people next time.

Most? No.
But this isn't some fringe movement. It is a well funded coordinated effort that recruited several Hollywood figures to promote it.
Meanwhile a meeting of the KKK (or whatever) at the airport Ramada is front page news because the said "heil Trump."

Many of them do. You've seen the video encouraging the Republican EC voters to change their vote, right?
At the very least, I think they want to undermine a Trump presidency. If Trump doesn't get the requisite number of votes in the Electoral College, then he will be elected by the HoR. If that happens, the Democrats will question the legitimacy of his presidency for the next 4 years.
