Here's as valid a way to choose the POTUS as popular vote

We could get rid of the EC and say the candidate who wins in the most land mass in the USA wins the presidency.
That way a Dumocrat would never be POTUS again.

Don't take this thread so seriously.
I'm just pointing out there are many ridiculous ways to elect the POTUS besides by popular vote instead of using the EC.

The federal government rules via grant of power from the states. So the president should be the person the most states vote for.
Of course then California will split into 6 states.
