Gifted Hands is a must-read, IMO.
Is that his book? If so, I'll definitely read. I've been looking for something to read while I'm waiting for James Patterson to hurry up and write another book.

Racism is so yesterday bruh. Get on board this sexist pain train I'm driving. All the ladies love a sexist deep down.
It's Sunday. Can't you be nice on Sunday?

I believe that I posted earlier in this thread (I didn't go back and look, but I know I posted it somewhere yesterday), that he is the democrats dream candidate.
Except he is conservative.

Yup. Read it when I was in grade school and it made a lasting impression on me.

I can picture Geauxxx driving around a little train like the peace train in Ferguson the other night. Running over women walking into the polls to go vote.
The poli board wouldn't be the same without him.
Eta:
I'll look for it.

And that's the problem. Liberals will tolerate any perversion.....except conservative thought.

He's a pretty amazing individual. Every school kid, regardless of race, should aspire to achieve things as great as he has achieved.

I concur. Sterling example of achieving the American dream through perseverance.

Showing once again that adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.

This thread may or may not be the place for this statistic, but. . .
Per capita, blacks are 76.2 times more likely than whites to murder blacks. Blacks are 5.6 times more likely to murder blacks than whites are to murder whites.
Sources: FBI Crime Statistics LINK , US Census LINK
ETA: The per capita part is key. People like to point out that whites commit basically the same number of murders as blacks (2,823 for whites vs. 2,895 for blacks, in 2011), but those people usually neglect that blacks make up a much lower percentage of the population (78% white, 13% black).

Just finishing up reading it. He is absolutely incredible. Very humble man who is quick to point out his failings and shortcomings. I caution anyone who thinks he is an intellectual lightweight. They will only do it once and when they have been embarrassed they will know better.

Trackfan opened the door to this stat earlier. I'll allow it.

I also recommend his book Think Big. That was another great read.

I don't think I have ever seen it put that way. I like it.

Why would Obama like a guy who wants to cut his nuts off? Also, why would Obama hate a guy who said that he will never speak negatively about Obama on his TV show? It's only natural for Obama to dislike a person who has expressed deep-seated resentment towards him and to like a guy who is his de facto MSNBC press secretary.
Getting no argument from me on that. Just 'xplainin' why The Rev is getting all the face time.
Though I do think it's telling that Obama would choose either one of them. Dontchathink?

Thanks, but I stole that line from the oft-maligned Mitch Albom. Heard him say it on 'The Sports Reporters' and it stuck. Never forgot it.

And he ripped off from someone else. That saying has been around for years. I'm sure if you could read greek you could find a Plato writing with something similar.

Possibly. But truth is truth, isn't it?
